I was sent out from the First United Methodist Church in Bloomington Indiana in June of 2010. In January of 2012 we started a ministry called La Casa de La Paz which was for women and children suffering from domestic abuse. This ministry has grown since then to over 300 women in 14 communities. Our most unique characteristic is, that all of our communities have started from the bottom up and not from the top down. In other words, we have spread organically through word of mouth, from one woman to another, in the marketplace, in their neighborhoods within their families and extended families; this is how we’ve grown. There’s nothing planned or professional about us at all, we’re just ordinary people who speak, in humility and out of the abundance of our heart, the things God wants us to say concerning the message of our Lord Jesus Christ.
