Matt and Nora share a burden and a passion for discipling and mentoring young people in Guatemala. Modeling a family-style approach, their ministry serves young adults who have aged out of children’s homes. Nora strengthens relationships by teaching Gospel-centered sexual purity and education. Matt emphasizes life and job coaching with Biblical principles, and skill building for small business enterprises. They foster a welcoming community for expats and growing families through personal connection and offering a seat at their table.

Married in September 2016, Nora and Matt began serving in Guatemala together in January 2017. They call Guatemala home but have roots in South Carolina, Georgia, and Michigan. Their daughter Eva was born in Guatemala in December 2018. Nora and Matt began the journey to adopt children in 2021 in response to a strong felt calling and their experiences as trauma-informed caregivers. Their ministry of coming alongside others in love demonstrates the power of God’s transforming presence among us.
