I have lived and served as a full-time missionary in Guatemala since January of 2016. For the past 10 years, I have served in a local village sharing about Jesus and giving access to many educational opportunities. Sadly, due to circumstances out of my control, it’s time for me to step away from the ministry I have loved for a decade. God graciously presented me with this new opportunity that was exactly what I was praying for.

This August, I will be embarking on a new adventure as I have joined the team at Antigua Christian Academy (ACA). ACA is a first-year K-12 school that will be serving in particular the missionary community in the area of Antigua Guatemala, offering a Biblically-based education. The majority of the families are missionary families who serve in different ministry capacities in the surrounding areas of Antigua, who would like their children to be receiving a Christian education that is also accredited both in the USA and in Guatemala.

I am excited to be taking on the day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the school, helping to create processes and organizational structures as the school begins its inaugural school year on August 10th. My hope is that my contributions using my administrative and leadership skills can help ACA have a successful start so that many future generations can be impacted by this Christian education. The mission of the school is to raise up Christ-centered leaders that will live a life of Christian service that will transform their communities for the glory of God.

Aside from being the school’s administrative assistant, I will also be teaching art for K-8th and aiding the high school students in their online accreditation courses. I’m excited to work with all of the students at ACA and help them discover their God-given potential!
