Karl & Rachel Hoyer

Hoyer Family Missions is one unconventional family’s answer to a call to, and a passion for being the hands and feet of Jesus to the poor, to the grieving and to those whose eyes and hearts have not yet been opened to the beauty of the Gospel in a broken world. We strive to intentionally love our neighbors, whether it be snow blowing the city block where we live for those who cannot do it themselves; whether it be partnering with many different regional churches to network in ministering to grieving widows or family members through GriefShare; whether it be walking alongside those who struggle with addiction or personal brokenness and broken family relationships in Celebrate Recovery; whether it be across international borders to help our cross cultural neighbors to establish church buildings and communities of support and worship in Guatemala, Mexico and India…We are simply trying humbly and with everything we’ve got to raise our blended family of 6 children, to let the Lord transform and restore and heal within the primary mission field of our own family life, and then let the ripples spread to our extended circles of neighbors—both domestically and internationally. To know Him and to make Him known to our children and to our fellow man is our calling. The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and He makes known to them his covenant. My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He will pluck my feet out of the net. Turn to me and be gracious to me,for I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses. Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins.
Psalm 25:14-18

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
