FLOOD VICTIMS HELP

Standing Together After the Flood

By now, you’ve likely heard about the devastating flooding that struck our community — claiming lives, displacing families, and leaving a path of heartbreak and destruction throughout the Hill Country. As part of the body of Christ in this region, we at Commission Ministers Network believe God has placed us here for such a time as this — not just to watch, but to serve.

We are partnering with local churches and trusted Christian leaders across Kerrville to assist in both immediate cleanup efforts and long-term recovery. Every gift we receive will go directly to help those affected — including support to churches we know personally and trust to steward resources with integrity and compassion.

This is a time for the Church to rise in love, unity and action. Thank you for standing with us.

WAYS TO PRAY FOR THE KERRVILLE AREA

  1. Comfort for grieving families
For families who have lost children, friends or loved ones—especially those young girls swept away at camp. May the “God of all comfort” be near to the brokenhearted.
  2. Search and rescue efforts
Pray for emergency responders and volunteers still searching for missing persons. Pray for strength, protection and success in locating those still unaccounted for.
  3. Healing for the injured
Many are physically wounded and emotionally traumatized. Pray for swift healing, skilled medical care and God’s peace over anxious minds.
  4. Shelter and provision for the displaced
Some families have lost homes, vehicles and all belongings. Ask God to provide shelter, food, clothing, and financial aid quickly and abundantly.
  5. Wisdom and strength for local leaders
For city and county officials, pastors, emergency teams and nonprofit leaders making decisions and organizing help. Pray for unity, clarity and stamina.
  6. Peace in the chaos
That fear would not overtake people, but that God’s peace would reign—even in the middle of loss, cleanup and uncertainty.
  7. Opportunities for the Church to shine
That local churches would rise up as beacons of hope—offering practical help, prayer and presence. Pray for revival through acts of compassion.
  8. Protection from further storms
Pray for mercy over the weather—no further rain, no flash floods. Ask the Lord to “rebuke the storm” and guard the community from more damage.
  9. Long-term recovery
As the news cycle moves on, pray for faithful support in the weeks and months ahead—for rebuilding homes, restoring roads and restoring hearts.
  10. Ministry to the traumatized
Especially for children and families who witnessed or experienced terrifying moments. Pray for counselors, chaplains and pastoral care workers to bring God’s healing.
