Before I was called to ministry, I was teaching Kindergarten in a small town in Nebraska. But God had other plans.
I had previously been to Guatemala for a short terms missions trip. Then, while going to school at Grace University in Omaha, NE in 2013, we had a missions conference. One of our sessions was on praying for international schools. Since I had recently been to Guatemala, I took the pamphlet for the Christian Academy of Guatemala. I then forgot about the school and went on with my life. Then in the fall of 2016, the Lord started laying the Christian Academy of Guatemala on my heart. I initially tried to ignore His promptings, but after a couple of months of this, I finally decided I need to act! As I moved forward, doors continually opened and I could not ignore the fact that the Lord really did want me in Guatemala.
I will be serving at the Christian Academy of Guatemala. CAG provides Biblically based, quality English education for missionary kids. I will be a core classroom teacher in the elementary school. I partnered with Commission Ministers Network in March 2017. CMN has allowed me to focus on preparing to leave for the academy by taking care of the financial end of my ministry.
Commission Ministers Network is a non-profit and sends letters of receipt for tax purposes with each donation and at the end of the year. The funds are sent to me at the end of each month. If you would like to know more about CMN, click here.
